Derivation
The line was produced by fusing NS-1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Lewis rats that had been immunized with transfected K562 cells expressing the extracellular domain of murine CD19.

Comments

The hybridoma cell line 1D3 secretes a rat monoclonal antibody that reacts with the mouse pan-B cell marker CD19.

The antibody binds to mouse CD19 with high affinity, but does not react with human CD19.

Subculturing

Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Alternately, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension in fresh culture medium. Establish new cultures at 2 x 10viable cells/mL and maintain at between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 viable cells/mL.

Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
