Antibiotic Resistance
Multidrug resistant strain.
Resistant to ampicillin, amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, ciprofloxacin, cephalothin, doxycycline, gentamicin,
erythromycin, imipenem, methicillin, penicillin, tetracycline, oxacillin azithromycin, clindamycin, ceftriaxone, rifampin, amikacin and tobramycin.
Susceptible to teicoplanin, chloramphenicol, fosfomycin, mupirocin, netilmicin, streptomycin, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, and vancomycin.
Intermediate resistance to minocycline.
As the guidelines provided by Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) state, resistance to oxacillin implies resistance to other penicillins such as methicillin. The MIC values of Streptomycin and Mupriocin have been tested to be ≥ 1024 μg/mL and 0.5 μg/mL respectively.
