Comments
The cells do not synthesize gamma 1 chains.
They produce but do not secrete kappa chains.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Establish new cultures at 4 x 105 viable cells/mL and maintain below 1 x 106 cells/mL.
Medium Renewal: 3 times per week
Cryopreservation

Freeze medium: Culture medium, 95%; DMSO, 5%.
