ATCC 35743 growth on agar

Does ATCC® 35743™ grow on agar plates?

ATCC® 35743™ is typically slow to recover from preservation and grows best on agar.  We observe poor growth of ATCC® 35743™ in broth at 28 days (37C, aerobic, broth 1395 Middlebrook 7H9 with ADC) however, medium 173 Middlebrook 7H10 with OADC agar plates inoculated from the primary broth after 4 weeks showed excellent growth.  We wrap the plates in parafilm and incubate in a plastic bag to prevent the agar from drying.
